Hi, my name is Christine Carolan
I am the founder and designer of Happynest™, a new Irish brand providing a unique range of premium quality reversible nursery products and babywear specifically designed for either a baby boy or baby girl.
As a busy mum of two young girls, Sophie and Eve, I know what it’s like trying to juggle work and home life. I designed products to try to make parents lives a little bit easier. There are many safety features imbedded into my designs which I know parents will appreciate. Like many new mothers I had all the same concerns when I brought my daughters home from hospital for the first time. I had them wrapped up in blankets and snowsuits and remember thinking they looked so swamped and warm. Based on my own experience as a parent I decided to create simple solutions for everyday life to make both parent and baby feel more comfortable and secure.
The ethos of the Happynest brand is quality and safety. All our products are designed with parent and baby in mind. Our first product the Cosynest is ideal for the car seat or buggy. The Cosynest innovative design allows parents to strap their young babies into the car seat without the need for bulky coats or jackets. The Road Safety Authority Ireland and various European entities recommend parents do not put bulky jackets or coats on babies in car seats as they interfere with the safety of the car seat harness. The Cosynest alleviates this problem and ensures babies are safe and warm when travelling, giving parents peace of mind. The Cosynests are also reversible from pink to blue so make the ideal gift for the expectant mum. Due to demand we are in the process of designing the next size up 6-18 months. The Cosynest has been widely accepted in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
The second product the Cosysleep is a reversible sleeping bag that can bring babies from cot to car seat. This is suitable for ages 6-18 months. We have included safety features which again give parents peace of mind. The bag has a front and back opening to allow parents to put car seat harness through the bag, to ensure babies are strapped in properly in the car seat. The bag has a zip opening at the bottom to ensure babies do not open the bag themselves and gives parents access to nappy changing without disturbing the baby.
